PhD (UNSW), Bphty (Otago), APAM

Liv has 18 years’ experience in physiotherapy, with her primary interests being musculoskeletal and mental health physiotherapy and tertiary education. She has worked internationally in both the public, private and tertiary sectors as well as with amateur and professional sports.

Liv prefers the holistic approach: Healthy Body, Healthy Mind. She loves to treat necks and backs, with a special interest in stress care and management. Liv has a family, enjoys rest and relaxation, walking, swimming, biking and Netflix.

Lisa has over 25 years of clinical musculoskeletal experience. She has worked in the UK and Australia and in many different private practice clinics.

She is particularly interested in treating tricky shoulders, knee pain and musculoskeletal injuries. She enjoys treating people from all walks of life – anyone one from the weekend warrior to the athlete.

Outside of work she has family, a rogue puppy and enjoys tramping.

Alister has worked as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist across two millennia and since before the internet was really a thing. His treatment approach incorporates biomechanics, manual therapy, acupuncture, massage, cognitive behavioural theory, and exercises.

Alister has a special interest in treating musicians’ injuries, and has considerable experience with more complex musculoskeletal problems. In his spare time, he is an audio engineer and plays bass in a band.

BSc Honours in Physiotherapy

Harry graduated from the University of East Anglia (UK) in 2015. He has worked in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in various settings; including the National Health Service, elite sports clubs in the UK and private practice in New Zealand.

Harry enjoys working with all age groups of patients, however particularly enjoys sport specific rehabilitation. His treatment philosophy is firmly grounded in exercise prescription and uses manual therapy techniques, including dry needling, to facilitate an enhanced recovery for his patients.

Harry currently plays competitive, interclub tennis and golf in Christchurch. If you can’t find him on the golf course he will probably be spending some quality time at home with his fiancée and two fur babies.

Debbie Talboys image 2021Debbie Talboys, Client Services Administrator

Debs joined the University of Otago School of Physiotherapy Christchurch Clinic in 2015 as a full-time administrator. Previous experience included working in medical and sports clinics in Christchurch and the West Coast of the South Island. Debs’ interests include watching and participating in many sports, which often brings plenty of enjoyable conversations with clinic patients and staff members… particularly on the subject of Crusaders vs Highlanders games (she is a Highlanders supporter, by the way).

Nicki McDowell image 2021Nicki McDowell, Client Services Administrator

Nicki joined the Christchurch Clinic in February 2021 as a part-time administrator after moving to Lyttelton/Ōhinehou from Methven. She has worked previously for a physiotherapist in Ashburton and in a prior life she worked in the education sector as a teacher!

Nicki is enjoying working in the centre of the beautiful city of Ōtautahi. In her spare time Nicki enjoys singing, learning Te Reo, walking her dog and catching up with family and friends.
