Bridges self-management workshop 15th October and 4th March

An Open Workshop: An Introduction to Supporting Self-Management of Long Term Conditions is being held at the School of Physiotherapy on Saturday 15th October and Saturday 4th March.

Who are the workshops for:
Practitioners in health and community support services, including nurses, social workers, allied health professionals, support workers, psychologists and doctors working in acute or community rehabilitation. For more about the course.

Bridges Self-Management training supports practitioners and teams to challenge and enhance their practice in self-management support. Many different methods are used to make self-management support work for practitioners and teams in different settings, making it part of everything they do. Practitioners learn how to integrate Bridges principles of self-management support into their work with patients and families; these include ways to promote problem solving, self-discovery, goal setting, activity, use of resources and creating knowledge together about the best ways to self-manage.
