Department of Physiology staff and students were awarded prizes at Queenstown Research Week which ran from 2-9 September. Congratulations to the following:

  • Mauro da Silva (supervisor Dr Rebecca Campbell) - winner of the Physiological Society of NZ (PSNZ) John Hubbard Memorial Prize for Excellence in Studies towards a PhD; and winner of the Mauro Silva_Hubbard PrizeStudent Poster Presentation Prize at the Queenstown Research Week Reproductive Biology Satellite.
  • Oby Ebenebe (supervisors Dr Jeff Erickson and Professor Alison Heather) - winner of the PSNZ Mary Bullivant Prize for best PhD Student Presentation.
  • Professor Colin Brown - awarded the PSNZ Triennial Medal. The Triennial Medal is the most prestigious prize offered by the PSNZ and is only awarded to researchers nationally once every three years in recognition of outstanding contribution to physiology internationally.
