Research

I am a Research Fellow in Dr Rebecca Campbell Laboratory, Center for Neuroendocrinology and Department of Physiology.

I am interested on the role of the brain in the control of reproductive function and the relationships between the brain and peripheral hormones. More particularly, my research interests are focused on the wiring of the brain by the sex hormones which lead to the differentiation of the brain as male or female in order to regulate the reproductive function, and the corresponding sexual behaviours throughout the life.

I am currently investigating the role of the brain in the most common female infertility disorder worldwide: PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I am specifically looking at the role of androgen exposure in the wiring of the brain in this specific pathology through the neuronal network implicated in fertility regulation as well as the potential role of glial cells in the establishment of PCOS. I am also interested in the development of sexual dysfunction in PCOS.
