The Health Sciences Fono is an annual camp for Pacific students, run by the Pacific Island Research & Student Support Unit (PIRSSU) in collaboration with the Pacific Island Health Professional Students’ Association (PIHPSA) and the local Pacific community.
Health professionals are invited to each camp to speak about their experiences, and about what it meant to be a Pacific health worker. Students who have undertaken research also present their work at the Fono, and teach other students about the research pathways that are available to them.
Furthermore, the Fono presents an excellent opportunity to meet and network with fellow students, health professionals, and the wider Pacific community.

Additional information about the Fono will be made available on this webpage once details are confirmed.
