A number of scholarships and awards are available for postgraduate study at Otago, for both local and international students.

Below is a list of scholarships that may be of interest to Master of Planning students.

Division of Humanities Māori and Pacific Bridging Scholarships

These awards are designed to encourage graduating Māori and Indigenous Pacific students to proceed to their first year of taught postgraduate study in Humanities.

Applications usually close end of October.

Financial support available for conferences

Financial support is available to students who wish to attend one conference during their course of study.

Financial support is contingent upon you presenting a paper / workshop / poster at the conference. If you wish to attend a conference notify the programme co-ordinator as soon as possible.

Research funding

Subject to availability of funds, the School of Geography reimburses a proportion of research-related expenses incurred by second-year Master of planning students enrolled in PLAN590 or PLAN5F.

Financial support may also be available from local authorities or other agencies interested in the research to be undertaken.
