Marine environments

Otago Marine Researchers are involved in a range of programs spanning the biological, physical, and earth sciences.

Projects include understanding the Southern Ocean food web structure and the response of Antarctic fish and larval stages to environmental change and hydrocarbon pollution.

Researchers are also involved in Antarctic drilling and coring programmes (ANDRILL and IODP) which explore past climates and the response of Antarctic Ice sheets climate change.
