Wondering what to study at University?
Love the idea of studying Politics but enjoy Sciences too?
You can do both!
Bachelor of Arts and Science (BAS)
From 2017, students interested in studying Politics can enrol in the BASc - a four-year degree with two major subjects, so you can study Politics alongside a Science major. Previously this would have required a double degree taking five years.
Tackling World Issues
The BASc recognises that tackling big world issues such as health, security, food production and climate change requires multi-faceted solutions. These solutions may include new technology and scientific breakthroughs, but an understanding of their impact on people and society is needed.
Gaining Skills Employers Need
BASc graduates will present employers with real expertise in both the sciences and humanities. Their scientific capabilities will go hand-in-hand with knowledge of human history, how people think, and how societies function.
