    Learning Outcomes

    Students who successfully complete the paper will have:

    • An understanding of the general organisation and structure of aeromedical retrieval and transfer systems
    • Developed a sound knowledge of the aeromedical environment and the physiological changes it causes to patients and fellow team members
    • Demonstrated an understanding of aeromedical aircraft and the aviation processes and procedures that are utilised during aeromedical retrievals and transfers
    • Developed an understanding of the principles of survival and critical actions required after an aircraft accident/incident
