    Overview

An introduction to the development of new tourism products, related market research, visitor management, guiding, and interpretation. Theory-driven assignments draw on real life tourism management tasks.

Developing new tourism products and enriching existing ones is exciting. This paper provides opportunities to work individually and in groups on producing tourism products that are innovative, imaginative and practicable. The teaching is student-centred and combines formal content and experiential learning. The project assignment simulates the kind of task commonly encountered when working in consultancy firms. Completing this paper provides students with useful skills and is a great preparation for employment after graduation.
