Oral pathology involves the diagnosis and assessment of conditions of the oral cavity, jaws and salivary glands.
An oral pathologist uses information from histological examination of tissue and, increasingly molecular techniques, to make a diagnosis and determine the cause of conditions of the oral, maxillofacial, and adjacent regions, in conjunction with clinical and radiographic features.
Oral Pathology is available as a subject of study for:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (PGDipClinDent)
- Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent)
