Overview
The General Staff Association, which existed from 1972 to 2003, fostered friendship and awareness among University general staff.
As one of its objectives was to assist in the advancement of University education, the association offered an annual bursary to a member of the association (or an immediate family member) who was studying at the University of Otago.
An annual General Staff Association Award for a child of a general staff member enrolling for a full-time course at the University was also established.
