Overview
Caroline Brigit Plummer (1978–2003) graduated BA (Anthropology) and Diploma for Graduates at a private ceremony shortly before she died of cancer on 28 April 2003.
She believed in the healing power of all forms of artistic expression and the Caroline Plummer Fellowship in Community Dance was launched in her memory by the University of Otago on International Dance Day, 29 April 2004.
This tree, to be known as the “Bird Tree”, was planted outside the Centre for Sustainability where she worked as a research assistant.
