The University of Otago's Centre for Protein Research

The Centre for Protein Research (CPR) is a research facility for biological mass spectrometry. Support is provided by the Department of Biochemistry and the Department of Microbiology and Immunology's highly respected and talented academic and technical staff.

We provide versatile workflows for:

  • Global and targeted quantitative proteomics (eg SWATH-MS, iTRAQ, SILAC, AQUA etc),
  • The characterization of proteins and their post translational modifications,
  • Native and denaturing intact protein mass spectrometry
  • The analysis of metabolites and other small molecules

We offer a service facility and a user laboratory that supports research and student projects within the University of Otago. We also provide service analyses for customers throughout New Zealand.
