Where can you find parking?

There are two car parks available for client use (see map above). We cannot guarantee a free space as other clients may be using the parks when you arrive.

Who will you see when you come to the Clinic?

You will be seen by a senior psychology student training to register as a Clinical Psychologist. All trainees are very closely supervised by registered clinical psychologists.

In order to aide in accurate and effective supervision of trainees, all of your sessions at the Centre will be recorded on DVD. Sessions can be viewed by the trainee, supervisor or clinic director. Recordings are stored securely at all times and deleted within three weeks.

Confidentiality

Please feel that you can talk honestly and freely with the staff. Your right to keep your information private is fully respected by us. Your trainee will ask your permission before discussing any information you have given with others.

Everything you say will be kept between you and the Centre staff directly involved in working with you; except under the exceptional circumstances described below:

1. In emergency situations when it is impossible to get your permission in time to prevent injury to yourself or someone else.

2. When you have not given permission but your trainee feels that it is dangerous, for you or another person, for the information to be kept private.

3. Your trainee is required by law to share any relevant information if requested to do so by the courts.

How long will your appointment be for?

Appointments are scheduled to last 50 minutes.

Changing or cancelling appointments

If you need to change or cancel your appointment please telephone the Centre on (03) 479 7627 and inform us of this at least 24 hours in advance.
