The 2012 Recipient of the Kate Sheppard Memorial Award is Helen Tsui, a 26 year old PhD and Clinical Psychology student from the University of Otago. The Award is being used to pay for the tuition fees and resources necessary for her to concurrently undertake research in finding a diagnostic blood test for Alzheimer's disease and to train as a clinical psychologist.
