Jo Prince completed her undergraduate and Masters at the University of Otago before returning to undertake a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology in 2006. She graduated with Distinction in 2009 and since completing her training has been working as a Clinical Psychologist in remote areas of the South Island.

Positions have included child and family therapy, youth mental health and alcohol and drug rehabilitation, Consult Liaison and Specialist Medicine, as well as some private practice. She is currently based on the West Coast, working on the Brief intervention team for the West Coast Primary Health Organisation.

As a Professional Practice Fellow, Jo passes on her skills and knowledge to Probationary year Clinical Psychology students teaching introductory intervention skills. The course focuses is on evidence-based interventions with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioural therapy.
