Sasha McComb is currently the Director of the Clinical Psychology Centre. She is a registered clinical psychologist who obtained her MA in 2001 from Massey University and Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology in 2008 from the University of Otago. Her first clinical psychology positions were with the ADHD Research Clinic at the University of Otago and with the Dunedin Multidisciplinary Health and Development Research Unit (The Dunedin Study). Since then she has worked at Student Health Services and Dunedin Hospital.
She joined the Psychology Department in 2018 and is employed as a part-time Professional Practice Fellow with her current position involving clinic administration, course coordination, clinical supervision and mentoring of PSYC 501 clinical trainees. She also works part-time at Dunedin Hospital in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry where she supervises Clinical Psychology Interns. Her clinical specialist interests include health psychology, anxiety and personality disorders.
