Bookings can be made from 2 days before you need your gear. Payment occurs at the time of booking.

Snow Shed
Snow Shed Prices are not finalised for 2024
Spend less time waiting in lines and more time hitting the slopes by taking the stress out of the gear hiring process and paying a fraction of the cost. Our staff are trained to fit you with the gear that will best suit your size and skill level, leaving you to get straight up that mountain without any hassle.
Skis, ski boots, snowboards and snowboard boots require fitting by our staff during snow shed hours, all other gear can be rented during Unipol opening hours.
Snow shed is open 4-7pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and 12-7pm Friday.
We will be starting season hires of snow gear in 2024, with limited availability (students only).

We allow half a day either side of booking for collection and return of gear which can done anytime Unipol is open.
By renting any equipment from Unipol Recreation, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions specified in the Acceptance of Responsibility Statement.

Terms and conditions of hire
Rental cost is on a per-day basis.
Hirers may check out multiple items at one time, but are limited to one per type of equipment.
A one-day rental period is the time of pick up (that day) until closing the next day. [Exception: bikes must be returned by close on the same day].
Overdue fees amount to the same price as hiring equipment for that time.
I agree to take full responsibility for the hire and usage of the equipment and will return it in the same state as it was hired by the agreed date. If not, I will pay the required replacement cost.
If damage occurs I will notify Unipol and will expect to be charged any necessary repair or replacement costs.
A form of ID must be supplied and photographed for public hire.
By paying for the rental equipment I am agreeing to the terms and conditions.

Walks
A variety of walking excursions around Dunedin, the peninsula and surrounding coast lines. You will come across plenty of wildlife so bring your camera!
Surfing
This mobile surf school based at The Esplanade, St Clair Beach, offer learn to surf sessions for beginners through to advanced lessons for those wanting to extend their local knowledge. Your wave is waiting!
Mountain biking
Love mountain biking? From sandy beaches to native forests Dunedin, and it's surround area, have some amazing tracks to be explored.
Skiing and snowboarding
Head away and experience Central Otago's amazing ski fields. Feel exhilarated as you cruise down the slopes on skis or board.
Windsurfing / Stand up paddle boarding (SUP)
Experience the exhilaration and fun of windsurfing and/or stand up paddle boarding (SUP) on the beautiful Otago Harbour. It's sure to blow your hair back!
