Secondary students discussing bioengineering with Dr Gabriella Lindberg
Secondary students on campus for June's DARE event talk with Dr Gabriella Lindberg about bioengineering research.

The event – named DARE (Discover, Achieve, Research and Engage) Otago – involved staff and students of the University of Otago Christchurch campus, who shared their career and study stories with students visiting from almost 30 secondary schools.

The campus opened its doors in order to demonstrate the full breadth of the health sciences pathways available to these students, and involved interactive displays and engaging talks.

Staff and students of the Christchurch Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering (CReaTE) research group spoke about the field of bioengineering and demonstrated some of their research in tissue engineering, biofabrication, and orthopaedic device design.
