Research Assistant
Medical research in the field of bioengineering is Valery Liu's special interest. Her work focuses on cell culture experiments using bioactive hydrogels and quantitative analysis of tissue constructs for cartilage engineering and bio-fabrication, thereby assisting the research of Professor Tim Woodfield, Dr Gabriella Lindberg and Laura Veenendaal.
Last year during the summer of 2020/2021, Valery worked on a 10-week summer studentship project focusing on donor variation and optimisation of 3D cell culture system for cartilage tissue regeneration while being supervised by Dr Gabriella Lindberg.
Valery has the opportunity to continue and expand her research work over the summer of 2021/2022 as Research Assistant.
