Guy’s focus is writing stories and creating content supporting those stories that communicate the work, activities and achievements of the staff and students in the Division of Sciences. On any one day this could range from the writing of press releases or stories for University publications such as the Otago Bulletin or the Otago Magazine, to the creation of digital content for social media.
Guy has worked for a decade as a freelance writer and photographer, and with an undergraduate degree in physical geography and as a recent graduate of the University’s Masters of Science Communication programme, is inspired to share divisional stories.
As a member of the Development and Alumni Relations Office, Angie ensures the coordination of and support for strategic fundraising projects by working with University of Otago faculty and staff to nurture mutually beneficial relationships with our valued alumni, stakeholders and friends. Through these evolving partnerships students and researchers in the Division of Sciences are able to progress on the multitude of critical concerns facing our local and global community.
Angie comes to the University of Otago with over a decade’s experience in post-secondary institutions and non-profits in Australia and Canada and enjoys working with forward-thinking donors, philanthropists and organisations eager to embed enduring positive impact into issues they are passionate about.
