This means you can tailor a degree that reflects your strengths and passions, which will in turn net you the kind of work you will most enjoy. Flexibility can be bewildering however, and that is where excellent course advice comes in.
Sometimes, life gets complicated and a change in plan is required - again, course advice can help you work through changes in workloads or shifts in direction.
The University library is actually a collection of libraries: the Central Library in the ISB on Albany Street; the Medical library on Great King Street across from the Hospital; the Science library in Sciences 3 building, 630 Cumberland Street; and the Robertson Library on Union Street East.
The library offers a lot of services as well as up to date research resources. There are study rooms and research tools available, so make the most of it all.

The Student Learning Development centre offers a wide range of free and confidential workshops that will help you hit the ground running including time management, note taking, essay writing, and exam skills. Take advantage of these free services during the year.
