The University of Otago offers and administers a range of entrance and undergraduate scholarships to financially assist students in completing their undergraduate study.
Science Horizons scholarships
The University of Otago Science Horizons Scholarships (originally known as the University of Otago Frontiers of Science scholarships) were established by the Division of Sciences in 2006 to encourage high-achieving students to enrol in Sciences at the University of Otago.
The current value of the scholarship is $3000 each year for students who have not achieved an NZQA Scholarship Award or a supplementary $1000 per annum for student who have achieved an NZQA Scholarship Award. The Scholarship can be held for a maximum of three years, provided the student maintains at least a B average.
Applications are to be returned by 10 December, with confirmation on receipt of results in the new year.
