Mathematics & Statistics subjects and majors

Mathematics is the abstract science of number, quantity, and space, either as abstract concepts or as applied to other disciplines such as physics and engineering. Statistics is the science of collecting and analysing numerical data in large quantities, especially for the purpose of inferring proportions in a whole from those in a representative sample.

At undergraduate level the Division of Sciences offers 19 different majors related to mathematics and statistics, across the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Applied Science degrees.
