The BEATS Symposium 2020 will celebrate interdisciplinary and multi-sector collaborations and share the latest BEATS research findings.

This symposium, hosted by the Active Living Laboratory, will bring together individuals from academia, government, public health, urban design, transportation and environment to share their knowledge and discuss challenges and opportunities for encouraging active transport to school.

About BEATS symposia

BEATS symposia are used as one of many avenues to communicate the BEATS research findings to the wider community and to engage with stakeholders. The previous three BEATS symposia, held in 2014, 2016 and 2018, were very well received and attended by approximately 50 individuals from external organisations as well as the University of Otago.
