Ms Marguerita Lázár has been employed by the School of Physical Education since 1999. Her appointment as Senior Teaching Fellow includes assisting students with course planning, course approval and advising. She currently teaches body culture and society as well as researching for her PHD in the experiences of participants in a Curvy Yoga Class.
Ms Lázár completed an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Education and Psychology, and her Masters of Arts degree was in the area of Sexuality and the Sex Education Curriculum. In addition she has completed a Diploma in Public Health. Her current areas of interest are in the social construction of health and the implications this may have on interpretation of health statistics and data, Sociology of Health, contemporary theoretical conceptions of the body, feminist theory and philosophy of emotions. Her PHD study looks at theoretical understanding of the body and Yoga.
