Ko Te Roopū Whakakaha Tinana matou. We are the Māori students’ association for the School of Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Sciences (PEMA). Working collaboratively with Te Roopū Māori o Te Whare Wānanga o Otāgo.
Our Kaupapa
Guided by Tikanga Māori PEMA aims to foster an environment where Māori can be successful in the academy while maintaining cultural identity. It is important to us to create tuakana, teina relationships between year levels.
Our core functions are:
- Whanaungatanga
- Weekly study nights
- Sports days
- Study retreats
