We are a team of qualified professionals providing high quality health care to students of the University of Otago.
Student Health Services (SHS) is centrally located on campus in a purpose built facility. We have approximately 50 staff, comprising nurses, general practitioners, mental health and well-being clinicians and administrative staff.
Our mission is to engage with students and the wider university community to support optimum health and well-being, enabling students to reach their full potential during their time at Otago.
Student Health will work in partnership with academic staff and other healthcare providers to deliver professional, quality, innovative, accessible services to students.
We endeavour to provide the best health care possible in a manner that is competent, compassionate, confidential, timely and in an atmosphere of mutual responsibility and respect.
Sustainability at Otago
Student Health is committed to supporting sustainability. We have a dedicated sustainability team who work hard to implement ideas from both staff and students.
We are very excited to be a part of the University of Otago’s Green Impact Programme and look forward to working with the wider team. On 24 September 2019 as part of this programme Student Health was awarded with Seedling level and are now working towards Sapling level.
