Student Health is seeing a lot of students with scabies. Scabies is spread by close body contact – e.g. holding hands, hugging, sleeping together – and by sharing clothes and bedding.

The most important way to stop the spread of scabies is to make absolutely sure the whole flat PLUS any other individuals who share close body contact, clothes or bedding get treated AT THE SAME TIME.

You can get treatment over the counter at any pharmacy – please follow the instructions carefully. You can also get anti-itch medications from the pharmacy.
