Kia ora koutou, the 2022 influenza vaccine is now available.
Here’s what to know:
- The Flu vaccine is FREE for all university students who live in Ōtepoti Dunedin.
- Being fit and healthy will not stop you getting influenza.
- Influenza immunisation will give you the best protection; it takes up to two weeks to develop immunity.
- Influenza is a serious disease and can be life threatening.
- If you have an underlying medical condition, hapu or over 65years you can get more seriously unwell with influenza.
- There is no required spacing between having COVID-19 and getting your flu vaccination; just wait until you have no fever and are feeling better.
