PIN and password

When you get your ID Card, you will be asked to enter a 4-digit PIN on a keypad and re-confirm. You will need to remember this number.

Distance students: You will be given a slip of paper with your PIN number on it as well as your ID card.

You will need your PIN for:

  • Entry to secured areas and after-hours entry to buildings.
  • Entry to Computer Resource Rooms

What to do if you forget your PIN

Dunedin campus

If you forget your PIN, and you are on the Dunedin campus, please go to:

  • The ID Card Office 9am to 4:30pm, weekdays (during semesters). Please take your current Student ID Card with you.

    Alternatively, if the ID Card Office is closed, Uniprint Printshop (Ground Floor ISB Library) can also produce cards.

  • After hours to Campus Watch in St David Lecture Theatre. Please take your current Student ID Card with you.
