Last week, our Director, Dr Emma Wyeth, was fortunate enough to attend the Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Principal Investigators' Wānanga at the beautiful Rānana up the Whanganui River. It was a fantastic few days celebrating, planning and promoting Māori research across the motu. Our Unit is honoured to host two Ngā Pae projects. One, a scoping project led by Associate Professor Sue Crengle entitled Rangatahi Primary Mental Health Issues, Care and Services - A kaupapa Māori approach to identifying the gaps and need. The other, a seed project led by Dr Emma Wyeth entitled The Impact of Incarceration on Whānau Health and We'll-being. These projects have not long commenced and we look forward to updating you on our findings later in the year.
