Health Science Professional Programmes Special Examinations, 2024

Timetable

The 2024 Health Sciences Professional Programme Special Examination Timetable will be available here mid - late December 2023.

Application and payment information

All eligible students who wish to sit a Health Science Professional Programme written Special Examination must return their application and payment by 10 January.

If you are eligible to sit the Special Examination(s), your application will be accepted providing it meets the University Regulations for the programme concerned. If not, you will be advised accordingly.

The administration fee is $72 per paper. Candidates awarded Special Examinations because of illness or other circumstances beyond their control need to complete and return the application form but are exempt from the $72 entry fee per examination for those Special Examinations.

Late entries may be accepted but will incur a separate late fee of $72 per examination, in addition to any other applicable fee. For example, where a Special Examination application incurs a fee of $72, a late application will incur a further $72 fee, making a total of $144; where a Special Examination has been awarded because of illness and an application is received after the deadline, a late fee of $72 will apply.

The venue for Special Examinations scheduled in this timetable is Teaching Wing Room 2.01 (T201).

Please look at the campus map and familiarise yourself with the location of the exam room. The building T201 is in can be found by searching the reference F908.

Venue - oral, practical and department run examinations

All eligible students who wish to sit a Health Science Professional Programme oral, practical and department run written examination must return their application and payment by  10 January  as above. All oral, practical and department run written examinations are arranged by the Departments and Schools concerned, who will notify candidates of the details. Please check starting times carefully as these may vary.

All enquiries concerning the written Special Examinations timetabled by Student Administration should be directed to the examinations@otago.ac.nz.

All enquiries concerning oral or practical Special Examinations should be directed to the Faculty, School or Department concerned.
