Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
A free, confidential counselling service available to University of Otago staff. EAP provides short term counselling and support.

Occupational Mental Health and Wellbeing Advisor
The Occupational Mental Health & Wellbeing Advisor is a new position designed to provide specialist advice and support in the area of mental health and wellbeing, as part of the University’s Occupational Health and Safety Team service.
The focus of the position is to provide education, support, professional advice and rehabilitation for University staff in the area of mental health in the workplace.
The current Occupational Mental Health and Wellbeing Advisor is Carina Perner, who is a certified and registered Occupational Therapist.

Academic Leadership Development Programme (ALDP)
The ALDP provides ongoing development opportunities to academic leaders. A number of the courses are relevant as we work through the Support Services Review. The ALDP team will consider additional workshops to meet demand particularly in leadership skills including communication and adaptive leadership.
