Chris Pearson has been awarded a prestigious NZ Centre (NZC) Fellowship to Peking University for a period of seven weeks during August-September of 2018. He will be hosted by the Institute of Geophysics, School of Earth and Space Sciences under the guidance of Professor Shiyong Zhou. During his visit he will work at the institute of Institute of Geophysics developing the first comprehensive model of crustal deformation in China. He will give two public lectures, one at the New Zealand center Peking University on his work in developing a new geodetic datum for Nepal and a second at the School of Earth and Space Sciences on modeling crustal deformation in the US and New Zealand.
