At the School of Surveying I manage the technical department and am also the Department Health and Safety Officer. My roles within the School include providing high-quality instruction to students in the practical and data processing elements of land and hydrographic surveying, supporting the School's research activities and maintaining the School's equipment. As DHSO I help to ensure activities within the school meet or exceed the University H&S requirements.
I am a former graduate of the School and joined the team here 2019. My professional career has included working as a hydrographic surveyor on a variety of projects within New Zealand around the globe. I have also worked at Macraes Mine as a Project Surveyor and done a small amount of land survey work for a local Dunedin company.
