Help make positive changes at the University and be part of something more this year with Green Your Scene
Get amongst it and become part of the collective impact.
Green Your Scene enables teams to creatively and proactively take on actions towards sustainability, informed by our targets below:
How it works
Joining Green Your Scene is as simple as forming or joining a team in either a college or workplace and then registering via the form at the bottom of this page.
Watch the video below for an overview of the 2022 Green Your Scene programme.
What’s involved?
Green Your Scene is designed to support new ways of embedding sustainable practices into your space using the Minis as a tool.
These tools support teams to collectively impact sustainable progress within their workplace, college, kitchen or food outlet, while having a bit of fun along the way. Teams also get recognised for their efforts with the Green Your Scene awards.
Throughout the year, teams can request support from the Sustainability Office for any help they may need.
What you can expect
Green Your Scene requires a fair amount of team motivation. Teams succeed in this programme when they are equally passionate and determined to complete the actions at hand.
Consider whether you and your team members are prepared for this commitment before you register your team, as the programme is designed to allow teams to get stuck into the actions without needing support.
The Sustainability Office are here to help; however, you should be prepared to dedicate time and effort to the programme in order to be successful in the award levels.
Register your team
Green Your Scene registrations are open 8 February and close on Monday 15 March – outside of this time please email us at greenyourscene@otago.ac.nz to find out how you can get involved.
