Participants attending the Maramataka Wānanga on Arai Te uru Marae.

Te Koronga were excited to invite Heeni Hoterene and Levi Bristow down to Ōtepoti for the first time to wānanga with us and our communities about the Maramataka Māori and how it can be used as a tool in our workplaces for greater productivity and harmony. The wānanga was hosted on Arai Te Uru Marae.

Heeni has 14 years experience at delivering this wānanga across a wide variety of sectors. Over the course of the day we learned how to use maramataka to reclaim our time, energy and space. Using maramataka as a planning tool will help us become more aware of the environment and the moon's energies to plan and execute the right activities at the right time.
