Don Moffat is the Sir Paul Reeves’ Lecturer in Biblical Studies at St John’s College in Auckland and visiting lecturer at the University of Otago. He has a particular interest in the social world behind the biblical text. His PhD applied anthropological theory on social conflict to the story of controversial marriages in the book of Ezra.
