TOEIC test information

What is the TOEIC test?

The TOEIC Test - Test of English for International Communication - measures proficiency in international business English, at intermediate and advanced levels.

It provides an accurate measurement of the English capabilities of non-native speakers.

The TOEIC test measures and certifies listening, reading and grammar proficiency in international Business English.

  • The worldwide standard for measuring workplace English language proficiency
  • Each year, more than 4.5 million individuals worldwide take the TOEIC test
  • Used as a certification tool in more than 5235 international companies worldwide
  • Used in more than 2000 companies and large international groups in Europe.

How to apply for the TOEIC test

Please include a copy of your passport with your application.

Applications should be made to the following address at least 10 days before the date of the test.

The fee for the TOEIC test and certificate is NZ$265, or NZ$230 for the test and an Official Score Report without the certificate.

Location of the TOEIC test in Dunedin

The TOEIC test is held at the University of Otago Language Centre and Foundation Year, University Plaza Building One, 130 Anzac Avenue, Dunedin.

You will be welcomed by a test administrator on arrival at the Language Centre.

The University of Otago Language Centre and Foundation Year is a TOEIC Public Testing Centre.
