While COVID-19 is affecting everyone, we are still offering our normal face-to-face General English programmes here in Dunedin. However, from 22nd June, students who are not in New Zealand can choose to study General English online at the University of Otago alongside other students. The course content and term dates will be the same as our face-to-face programmes, which means you can still pathway to Foundation Year by passing the relevant assessments. You will need to complete an online placement test, which will make sure you are in the best class for your level. Each week you will have 15 hours of tuition and all classes will be delivered ‘live’ online by your teachers, so you will need to have a reliable, fast Internet connection and a good computer with a webcam and microphone. Tuition costs NZ$299 per week and you must enrol for a minimum of 4 weeks (or a half-term if you are planning to pathway to Foundation Year).
Key advantages:
- Learn in a live virtual classroom with other international students from around the world
- Pathway to Foundation Year from your home country
- Interact with other students and teachers using the University of Otago’s online platforms
- Save money with no travel, visa or accommodation costs
