Minor changes (corrections)

If you need images or files to be uploaded or removed from your site, or just need some text corrected, email the request to us.

If you need to correct a lot of text on a page, copy and paste the whole web page into a Word document, turn on Track Changes, and make your edits there.

Always include the URL of any pages to be changed. This will speed up the process.

Priorities during Web Project

Because we are making bigger website changes, and fixing long-standing issues during the Web Project, we must carefully prioritise our mahi for now.

This means major changes (improvements) will be postponed until at least mid-2024.

See Web Project site for prioritisation framework.

Review your web page content

To ensure our website is useful for visitors, departments are encouraged to review their pages for accuracy and relevance. Here are some questions to ask (adapted from data.govt.nz):

  • Does it serve a user need?
  • Does it meet a communication goal?
  • Is it redundant, out-of-date, or trivial content ('ROT' content)?
  • Are there any errors – typos, broken links, poor grammar?
  • Does it follow the style guide?

Request a copy of an audit checklist to help with your review, if necessary.
