Professor Krause attended the International Union of Crystallography Conference at Hyderabad, India on 21 – 29 August 2017. This meeting involved the organization that is the largest international body of practicing structural scientists including structural biologists. Professor Krause chaired a session and gave a talk on enzymes involved in proline biosynthesis. The meeting underscored the major role that crystallography is having in the development of new antibiotics for infectious diseases and it was good to be able to represent NZ at this gathering.
