As a Professional Practice Fellow in eLearning, Qian collaborates with staff and students to incorporate eLearning developments into teaching, learning and assessment at the UOW campus. Prior to coming to Wellington, Qian was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Auckland. Qian worked on a national research project on graduate employability, provided eLearning, learning design and teaching development support to staff, and facilitated academic skills sessions for students. He also taught papers on business, management, and information systems.

Research and Interests

Qian studies, uses and helps others use learning technologies. He designs teaching, learning and assessment activities for courses that are delivered online and on campus, large and small. Qian designs, develops and delivers professional development sessions for staff and academic skills sessions for students. His research expertise lies in the areas of adoption of learning technologies, technology-enhanced learning and graduate employability, and covers both qualitative and quantitative methods.
