Access for 4th–6th year medical students to CCDHB clinical records

Medical Students have been provided with access to Wellington Hospital clinical records using the Citrix client software.

On Lab PCs, Open Internet Explorer (recommended) and use the shortcut: https://citrix.ccdhb.org.nz/Citrix/XenApp/auth/login.aspx/.

All Medical students have been provided with a username and password for this system. Training is provided as part of the 4th year Introduction.

Students needing passwords reset should in the first instance contact Ann Thornton, ext. 5576, as CCDHB requires confirmation of student's enrollment. For problems other than account username and password please contact the Hospital IT Service Desk: it.ServiceDesk@ccdhb.org.nz or 04-385 5835.

Please note: If you do not login to your account for 30 days your account will become inactive. This is especially relevant to 4th and 5th years over the Summer break and the TI's returning from their Electives.

Through the hospital Citrix service, 4th/5th year students have access to the following:

  • Network access
  • Internet access
  • Clinical Records
  • EHR general view
  • PACS

  • Password does not contain your AccountID or name

Accessing Patient Records from your own laptop

In Internet Explorer go to https://citrix.ccdhb.org.nz

Login with your hospital provided username and password.

If you are using the Student Desktop, you will have Citrix already installed. If you don't, go to the messages tab and use the link there to download and install the Citrix addin.

Once the Citrix addin has been installed, go back to the first tab and then you will be able to use Citrix.

If this doesn't work, then please follow the CCDHB's instructions for installing citrix
