The Postgraduate Certificate in Civil Aviation Medicine is a means of accrediting aviation medical examiners in accordance with the training requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and most civil aviation licencing authorities around the world. The curriculum is appropriate to the medical examination and certification of aviation personnel rather than practising as an aviation medicine specialist. This is intended for aviation medical examiners who do not wish to undergo full Diploma training

This Certificate course is designed for Aviation Medical Examiners as a baseline qualification for a limited role. The course is based on two papers from the Postgraduate Diploma taken over two semesters - AVME 714 Clinical Aviation Medicine and AVME 711 Aviation Physiology. These subjects are specified by the ICAO as core competency requirements for Designated Medical Examiners.

Course Requirements:

AVME 711 Aviation Physiology (30 points)
AVME 714 Clinical Aviation Medicine (30 points)
