The Postgraduate Certificate in Occupational Medicine is available only to students who intend to proceed to the Postgraduate Diploma in Aviation Medicine. The Certificate can be taken at any time before completion of the Diploma in Aviation Medicine course. The qualification is based on two papers:
This one year part time distant taught course provides basic core competencies for medical practitioners who look after the occupational health and safety of aviation industry personnel. The Certificate will be offered subject to its requirements for the Diploma in Aviation Medicine and the Certificate course may be taken alongside papers for the Postgraduate Diploma in Aviation Medicine. Two papers for the Certificate are available in any academic year, each paper takes up one semester i.e. one half of an academic or calendar year.
