Graham is senior lecturer and course coordinator for the aeromedical retrieval stream at OAMU and is a graduate of the programme. He is Chief Medical Officer at First Assistance, an International Medical Assistance company headquartered in Auckland that coordinates the aeromedical retrieval and repatriation of hundreds of patients annually from across the globe.

He has extensive experience in emergency, aviation and assistance medicine and was previously a Medical Officer with the Australian National Antarctic program for several years including multiple tours to Antarctica as an expedition doctor and a winter-over expedition in 2006. He also works part time in the emergency department of a major metropolitan hospital and leads expedition medicine courses for the University of Tasmania.
