Lecturer, Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport
Dr Julian Eason is currently a Consultant Neonatologist and Lecturer at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust in the South West of England. He was until 2017 Chair of the Department of Neonatology at the Corniche Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
He has lectured and set up ventilation workshops across the UK and been heavily involved in neonatal transport services development, particularly air transport. These services he also developed in the Middle East and assisted with developing the first Neonatal Fellowship programme in the UAE. He has lectured across the GCC and MENA regions and run ventilation, transport and nutrition workshops.
In 2017 a book he co-edited Neonatal and Perinatal Mortality: Global Challenges Risk Factors and Interventions was published. He now undertakes medical teaching at his local University, partakes in transport services, and will continue to visit the GCC region to assist in medical education, lectures and specialist transport workshops.
